Hidden within enchanted gardens, devoted to fine dining and the great Relais & Châteaux® tradition of culinary excellence, are the three restaurants of the elounda mare hotel. Each with a fine menu and sharing an extensive wine collection of more than 700 labels, they have been winning the hearts of their patrons for over 20 years. The emphasis is of course on seafood and Mediterranean cuisine, yet strong influences from the classic French culinary school are evident in many dishes. Guests are encouraged to dress elegantly, especially in the evenings.
The “Karavia Bar” in the main hotel spells style in tradition. It offers breathtaking views of Mirabello Bay while maintaining an atmospheric ambiance. Thanks to the bar’s wooden décor, one has the feeling of being in an old vessel, hence the name “Karavia”, which in Greek means “ships”.
For those preferring to have a drink “al fresco”, the Yacht Club on the seafront is a wonderful alternative. Both bars serve cocktails and a distinguished variety of Greek and international liquors.
