The Hotel Tiziano, while maintaining all its charming original atmosphere, has been recently refurnished and boasts modern functional facilities.
Located in the former home of a noble family, the elegant eighteenth - century Pacelli Palace is right in the heart of historical Rome and is within walking distance of Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain, the Capitoline Hill, the Roman Forum, the Colosseum and all the most important shopping areas of the city, including the famous Piazza di Spagna. The residential building, nowadays housing the Tiziano Hotel, has been designed by Gaetano Koch, a roman architect of the second half of the IXth century; the artwork was commissioned him by Marquess Francesco Saverio Lavaggi. The architect Gaetano Koch is also the designer of the arcaded buildings surrounding Repubblica Square, of the Banca D’Italia building in Nazionale Street, of the Ludovisi palace in Veneto Street, nowadays housing the American Embassy, and of other countless historical buildings in Rome.The elegant building’s style owes its inspiration to the VIth century’s Roman buildings, and today it’s under the preservation of the “Belle Arti”
